Deputy Fleming

Senior Deputy Kaela Fleming began her law enforcement career in 2016 with the City of Sumter Police Department, where she served 3 years before moving to Lexington County and began working with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. In the middle of the pandemic she moved back to Sumter and worked for Sumter County Sheriff’s Department, before returning back to Lexington County in 2022. During her time in law enforcement she has worked patrol, code enforcement, investigations and is currently a SC ICAC task force officer and serving as a school resource officer at Leaphart Elementary. Deputy Fleming is a Saint Leo University alumnus with a bachelor in psychology degree and enjoys spending her days off with her two sons and fiancé finding new adventures to go on.
